UNS S42900 Stainless Steel AISI 429 Flat Bar
Product Information
UNS S42900 is a ferritic stainless steel, also known as ASTM A240
Type 429 stainless steel. It contains a high proportion of chromium
to improve its corrosion resistance and heat resistance. In
addition, it also contains a small amount of molybdenum element to
improve its corrosion resistance.
UNS S42900 stainless steel has good corrosion resistance,
high-temperature strength, and wear resistance. It also has good
machinability and weldability, and can use the most common
machining and welding techniques. However, UNS S42900 stainless
steel is prone to deformation and fatigue at high temperatures, and
careful consideration should be given when using it.
